Relief and Rehabilitation Program of L. Barta, 1991

After the devastating cyclone of 1991 under the motivation program (resourceful men of home & abroad to come forward for helping the helpless people), arrival of first medical team of Lakshmipur Barta from Dhaka to Ramgati.

The Char Jangalia High School under Sadar Upazilla ravaged by the cyclone of 1991, snaped in the camera of relief-workers of Lakshmipur Barta. Hundreds of families rendered homeless by that cyclone.

Lakshmipur Barta workers extended relief activities to the remote areas by boats,  the only means of communication at that moment.

Sari, Lungi, Shirt & other cloths were distributed among the flood- hit people in Bashikpur by boats

In Ramgati area, flood-affected people assembled in large numbers and were at a mess, during the distribution of relief goods by the L B workers..

Rice was distributed from door to door among the helpless of the inaccessible area of Lakshmipur Sadar by boat at the dead of night (with hurricane in hand ).
