Mr. A.Z.M. Hossain Khan, PHF is married. His wife, Farida Hossain, PHF got her M.A Degree from the university of Dhaka. She worked in different capacities in BRDB, BSIC and Bangladesh Hand Loom Board, She retired as Dy. General Manager, Bangladesh Hand Loom Board. She is a well known social worker. She was the founder President of Sherpur Ladies Club. She is a Rotarian and member of Rotary Club of Dhaka Mid City. She was Secretary of the Club for the year 2003-04. For her excellent performance as secretary she got special Award from the District Governor and District First Lady. She is also recipient of Four Avenues of Service Citation from the Rotary International President for outstanding efforts in the Four Avenues of Service,
She was the Vice - President of the Club (2004-2005) and Area Secretary , Area - 21, Zone-J of the District - 3280, Bangladesh. This is for the first time in Rotary history that husband and wife worked together in the same year in a club as President and Secretary.
Farida
Hossain, PHF was the president of Rotary Club of Dhaka
Midcity for the year (2005-2006).
They have one daughter and two sons. Daughter Shaila
Sharmeen is an MA in English from the Dhaka University
and is a Member of BCS (Education). She is a Popular
Newscaster in NTV Channel and is married to Major M
Manzurul Haque of Bangladesh Army.
Shaila
Sharmeen was a Member of the Executive Committee of
Officers' Club, Dhaka. She is now settled in Canada with
her family and working in the Road Post, a Tele
Communication Company as Production Analyst. Her husband
Major Manzurul Haque, G+, MBA is working in the United
Nations (UN) as Operations Officer.
Son Abeed Hossain
is an Industrial Engineer and is working in the AGB
Nielsen Media Research as Director, Project
Management & IT, United Kingdom. He is married and his wife Nisha Hossain is a Teacher.
Son Mabud Hossain is an MBA and is now working in the International Relief
Development, Inc USA as Budget Officer. His wife Savitri Persaud
is an Appellate Attorney and working in the Department of Veterans, Federal Govt. of the USA.
