Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anny was born on 2 February 1968 at village Banchanagar under Lakshmipur Pourasava. His father is Hazi Basirullah Chowdhury and mother is Hosne Ara Chowdhury. He is the 9th among 6 brothers and 5 sisters and the 5th among brothers. 

Education life: After completing his primary education from Lakshmipur P T I School, he passed S S C in 1983 from Lakshmipur Adarsha Samad High School and H S C in 1985 from Dhaka Science College. He passed B. Sc. Hon's in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology in 1989 and M. Sc. in 1990 from Dhaka University. He completed Dip-in-Education from Dhaka University in the year 1993.

Entry in Politics: In 1982, while he was a student of Class Ten, being inspired by the ideals of martyr President Ziaur Rahman, he took lesson in student politics from Lakshmipur District Chhatra Dal leaders Rafiqullah Dulal, Hanif etc.
Political Achievement: After getting admitted in Dhaka University, the political life of Shahiduddin Chowdhury turned to a new dimension. He was the Executive Commitee Member of Chhatra Dal in Shahidullah Hall of Dhaka University in the year 1986 and Joint-Convener of Muktijoddah Ziaur Rahman Hall Chhatra Dal in 1987. He was elected General Secretary of the same Hall Union in 1989. He was elected DUCSU President in 1990 getting the highest 7 thousand votes.

 He represented DUCSU in the D. U. Senate from 1991 to 1995. After that, he was elected Convener of Chhatra Dal of Dhaka University. In 1996 he was elected President of Bangladesh Jatiatabadi Chhatra Dal. After that, he was elected member of the Executive Committee of BNP. Lastly, in the 2001 Parliament election, he was elected M. P. from Lakshmipur-3 with a big margin.

Family life: Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anny got married in 1999 with Parvin Akter, the daughter of Abdur Rashid Bhuiyan of Begumganj, the Managing Director of a top-ranking hides processing factory, the 'Dhaka Hides and Skin'. Begum Khaleda Zia, Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan and other senior leaders of BNP attended the marriage ceremony. 

Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anny is seen with the Asian Parliament Members in a conference held at Manila, Philipines.

The couple has two issues. The name of the son is Sharukshi Shahid Chowdhury and the daughter is Sharian Shahid Chowdhury.

Within two months of his becoming President of DUCSU, while leading a procession in the University of Dhaka, police fired a tear-gas shell from a very short distance hitting him on the forehead, the sign of which he is carrying till to-day.
